James Mehr

He was born September 20th, 1982 in Bethesda, Maryland.  At the age of 3, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where he spent the majority of his childhood.  From 2001-2005, he attended Wesleyan University and received a degree in Film Studies.  In 2003, he spent a year abroad in Prague, Czech Republic, where he studied Film Production with a focus on Cinematography.  It was there that he made two shorts: “Sheltered” and “Stucco.”  “Stucco” was the official selection of three international film festivals.

After college, James moved to New York City, where he currently resides.  He has spent the last year working on various film sets, and has gained a deep knowledge of video and HD production.  However, James prefers to work on film.  He currently owns an Éclair NPR 16mm camera, with which he plans to shoot his projects.
